New House, North Connel
This was a completely blank canvas - a job that started with architect's drawings, onto which Jane added the complete furniture, lighting and electrical layouts, followed by colour boards and finally the installation of soft furnishings.
Because of the large areas of window to be covered, curtains were chosen that would not overpower the room when closed, or the stunning views when open. They run on electrical tracks over 6.5m long, operated by remote control.
Floors throughout are of oak, limestone and wool, curtains and blinds are of linen and worksurfaces are of granite.
This interior pays homage to the beauty of our natural surroundings
