Barcaldine Castle
Jane was asked to redesign The Laird’s Parlour as part of a major restoration project at the Castle. The colours were inspired by the Campbell tartan, with the Ancient Muted version lining the curtains, and a “play” on it in the custom made Anta rug. The wool Crewel work curtain fabric was woven in Kashmir, but heavy rains (yes, even worse than we get here!) delayed its long journey to the airport across the Himalayas by a month. The client agreed the wait was definitely worth it…
